Applications for the 2024-2025 Youth Leadership Council session are now closed. Applications for the 2025-2026 session will open on May 1, 2025.

About the YLC

The Youth Leadership Council is an initiative by the Central Bradford County Chamber of Commerce to help prepare our next generation of business leaders for the future through community engagement, hands-on learning, and professional partnerships. YLC participants are given opportunities to experience real-world business activities and take part in the community conversations youth often miss out on. Students on our Youth Leadership Council are given a chance to be able to connect and grow with like-minded peers in a fun, professional environment.

Some things our YLC participants will be involved with:

  • Planning our new quarterly Bradford County Business Publication
  • Meeting with and attending meetings of local boards that govern an array of community organizations
  • Connecting with chamber members and learning about the diverse array of businesses here in Central Bradford County
  • And so much more!

Additionally, each year, the CBCCC will be awarding one of our 11th grade YLC students a $5,000 scholarship to help fund their future business endeavors after high school graduation.

The YLC is divided into annual sessions that run from September through April each year. Applications for the council are due in August for the following session.

The YLC meets typically twice per month in-session, with one meeting being a regular meeting at the CBCCC office and another being a work/engagement/educational meeting.
